We welcome you to our grand opening! Dr. Baughman is a fully trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon, having completed his residency at world renowned Washington University in St. Louis. He completed his residency at Texas Southwester Medical Center in Dallas. Please congratulate him on opening his private practice in beautiful Thousand Oaks, California.

After logging more than 450 hour as pilot in command, Dr. Baughman passed his commercial pilot license check ride. If he isn't seeing patients, he is very likely flying in the skies above Thousand Oaks, California.

I learned that a winning strategy involves patience, comprehensive review of the logbooks, and waiting to be at the right place at the right time. I learned the idea of a perfect aircraft is an illusion created by impulsivity. I learned to walk away from a sour deal and keep multiple options open. Even in a seller’s market, I learned it is important to always set aside time for a thorough pre-buy inspection by a third party mechanic and follow a fair purchase agreement involving escrow funds held by a neutral third party until the acceptance flight is complete. The AOPA and owner societies publish guidelines for the drafting of a purchase agreement and the completion of the pre-buy inspection by a certified mechanic.

Dr. Baughman's provides thoughtful care for a variety of Plastic Surgery concerns, including breast cancer reconstruction, burns, hand, facial trauma, as well as complex wounds. Dr. Baughman has served as adjunct faculty in the general surgery residency at Los Robles. Dr. Baughman is a husband and father of two. He is a member of the Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons, Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce, Camarillo Commemorative Air Force.

Ethan Baughman grew up as the son of a veterinarian in Kansas. His earliest memories are taking care of large and small animals in his father's clinic. He followed his brother at college in Kansas State University, which he met his wife in a research lab, where they both worked. He and his wife share two vivacious children in Newbury Park, California. They enjoy watching their children excel at piano, band, soccer, baseball, basketball, gymnastics, Tae Kwon Do, and too many other activities to mention.

After earning his undergraduate degree at Kansas State University, Dr. Baughman went on to the combination M.D./Ph.D. program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Ethan is a diplomat of the American Board Plastic Surgery. Dr. Baughman graduated at Texas Southwestern Medical Center in the combined MD-PhD program, with his thesis centering on T-cellular immunology in the context of multiple sclerosis.
